SOUTH BEND - Adeline S. Kruk, 86, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, in the Elkhart Hospice House. Adeline was born February 19, 1928, in South Bend, to the late Marion and Mamie (Kmitta) Kasznia. On Oct. 16, 1948, in South Bend, Adeline married Harry Kruk, who preceded her in death on February 26, 1993. Adeline was also preceded in death by sisters, Rita Lovisa and Evelyn Kaczmarek; and brothers, Benedict and Marion Kasznia. Survivors of Adeline include her children, David (Victoria) Kruk of Granger, Christopher (Meg) Kruk of Granger, Marion (Ann Marie) Kruk of South Bend & Daniel (Elizabeth) Kruk of New Carlisle; sisters, Barb (Terry Wozniak) Matuszak, Mary Jane Cinal and Marsha Rieker; brothers, Dave (Renate) Kasznia, Victor (Darlene) Kasznia and Robert (Eva) Kasznia; grandchildren, Shelley (Charles) Morris, Heather Kruk, Beau Kruk, Sarah Kruk, James Kruk, Chelsea Kruk, Tyler Kruk and Alexander Kruk; and great-grandchildren, Julia, Charles, Avery, Alexia. Adeline retired from Hoosier Spring after twenty years. She was a homemaker, who very much enjoyed working around the home, playing Bingo and playing cards with her family, and she was an avid Notre Dame fan. Adeline also enjoyed going to the Casino and traveling. Mostly Adeline loved spending time with her family and being with her grandchildren. Visitation for Adeline will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 20, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637; and the American Cancer Society , 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
