Michael J. Hancz, 64, residing in Mishawaka, IN passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 in his home of natural causes. He was retired from the South Bend Community Corporation. Michael was born on February 24, 1951 in South Bend, IN and remained a lifelong resident. On April 21, 1991 in South Bend, IN he married Kathy Maciejewski Hancz, who survives. Along with his wife, Kathy Hancz , Michael is survived by his son, Michael Hancz of Lakeville, stepson, Dave (Jennifer) Hall of Elkhart; granddaughter, Ashley Hancz of Lakeville; two step-granddaughters, Brianna and Megan Moore of Elkhart; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Renata Maciejewski; his sister, Melody (Todd) Brandman of Shelbyville, IN; his brother, Gene (Judy) Hancz of New Carlisle; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Sadie. Michael was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, John Hancz and Marilyn Thomas Hancz. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend.
