Miriam H. Dudkowski, 72, a lifelong resident of Buchanan passed away on April 1, 2013, at 11:21 a.m. at Lakeland Medical Center in Niles, MI. She was born on August 8, 1940, in Niles, MI to Mark and Marjorie (Swartz) Treat who preceded her in death.
Miriam was a 1958 graduate of Buchanan High School then graduated in 1959 from House of James Beauty School in South Bend. She married her loving husband Richard Dudkowski, who survives, on December 22, 1963 in South Bend, Indiana and of this union, they welcomed a son Darren Dudkowski into the world. Darren survives and resides in Hammond, Indiana. Miriam was the owner of Treats, Gifts and Cards in downtown Buchanan. Miriam was a wonderful wife and mother. She never had an enemy or said a bad word about anyone. All the doctors and medical personnel who had any dealing with Miriam always commented on her pleasant personality.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 7th from 3-6 p.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan. A service celebrating her life will be Monday April 8th at 11:00 a.m. also at Swem Chapel.
