MISHAWAKA - Floyd E. Flowers Jr., 89, of East Lawrence Street, Mishawaka, passed away at his home on Friday, January 2nd, 2015. He was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Floyd and Hazel (Straub) Flowers Sr., who preceded him in death along with a son, Floyd E. Flowers III. He was a retired roofer for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his county honorably until his discharge. He is survived by his wife, Rosella, and five children: April Banks, Donald Flowers, David Flowers and Bruce Flowers, all of Mishawaka, and Lily (Bud) Fairis of Alabama. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Floyd's wishes were that there be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place. Bubb Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. Published in South Bend Tribune on Jan. 4, 2015
