SOUTH BEND - Georgiane J. Wojtowicz, 66, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 11:37 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013, in Memorial Hospital. Georgiane was born on March 15, 1947, in South Bend, to Matt and Gertrude (Sobecki) Harlozinski, and was a lifelong resident. She had been formerly employed with the University of Notre Dame. On May 27, 1967, in St. Adalbert Church, she married John P. Wojtowicz, who survives. Also surviving are her three children, Suzanne (Scott) Gens of Martinsville, Indiana, Robert (Michele) Wojtowicz of California, Kentucky, and John M. Wojtowicz of Nampa, Idaho; three grandchildren, Megan Gens, Nathan Wojtowicz and Claire Wojtowicz; and three sisters, Julie (Harry) Jozwiak, Christine (Richard) Urbanski and Maureen Harlozinski, all of South Bend, Indiana. Georgiane was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Gertrude Harlozinski; and two brothers, Gerald and Arthur Harlozinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, in Christ the King Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. Georgiane was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of Christ the King Parish and a Eucharistic minister for Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center. Georgiane was a selfless giver. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
