GRANGER - Granger - Irene T. Martin (Martynowicz), 90, passed away November 3, 2016 in Hospice House. Irene Martynowicz was born October 10, 1926 in Dowagiac, MI to the late Wallace and Marie (Szumnarski) Martynowicz. She was preceded in death by brothers, Theodore (Sophia) Martynowicz, Leonard (Carrie) Martynowicz; sister, Dorothy (Nick) Rodick; brother-in-law, Edward Sobecki; great nephew, Evan Sobecki; and several loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Survivors of Irene include her sister, Geraldine Sobecki of Mishawaka; niece, Sharon (Kevin) Toth of Mishawaka; nephews, Greg (Diana) Sobecki of Granger, and Ken (Lynn) Sobecki of Niles, their families along with several loved nieces, nephews and friends. Irene was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church for many years. She was an Account Manager with I & M, she retired in 1986 after 43 years. Irene enjoyed traveling with family, outings at the lake, eating out, the color blue and chocolate. Most of all, she loved being an Aunt and Great Aunt. A Memorial Service for Irene will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd.is assisting the family.
