Aug. 7, 1933 - July 15, 2012 MISHAWAKA - Maurice T. "Tom" Pozzi Jr., 78, passed away on Sunday, July 15, at home. Maurice was born on August 7, 1933, in Mishawaka, to Maurice T. and Catherine (Graham) Pozzi Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a son, Jim A. Pozzi. On May 6, 1961, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, he married the former Joan A. Velleman. Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Joan; daughter, Maria T. (Robert) Wilk of Mishawaka; and a son, Matt Pozzi of Mishawaka. Maurice graduated from John Adams High School in 1951 and was a 1955 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He was a Mechanical Engineer for Bendix Corp. for 28 years before he retired in 1994. Maurice was a member of ND ROTC during his day in college, and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 18, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 19, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association , 115 W. Washington Street, Suite 1180-S, Indianapolis, IN 46204; or to The Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
