[N4354] Eugenia "Jean" Pine
May 30, 1926 - May 4, 2015
SOUTH BEND - Eugenia "Jean" Pine, born May 30, 1926 in South Bend, IN to Boleslaw (William) and Anna Lawecki died peacefully the way she lived enfolded in the love of her family on May 4, 2015. Her earthly death reunites her with her parents, brothers, Joseph and John, and the love of her live, Victor, who preceded her in 2008, after 62 years of marriage. Jean is survived by the children she adored: her daughter, Vicky (Martin) Mosson of Mill Creek, IN and son, Richard (Diana) Pine of Wauwatosa, WI. Also surviving are beloved grandchildren, Brandee (Jason) Flagg, Scott (Jessica) Sinka, Angela (William) Warner, and Cathryn (Martin) Martos; and the great-grandchildren who brought her limitless joy, Braydon and Jayden, Kylie and Evan, Brock, Carson, and Mason, and Emma. In addition, Jean is survived by other loving relatives and longtime friends. Jean loved word puzzles or a good game of cards, an engrossing book, Lawrence Welk reruns, family gathered around the table, and doling out candy to every child she met. Children delighted Jean, even after illness robbed her of mobility and memory. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care and Hamilton Grove for the compassionate and exemplary care they provided Jean during her final illness. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Saturday, May 9, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated immediately after the visitation. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
