Arthur Kasprzak, 98, of Mishawaka, passed away surrounded by his family on October 3, 2021. Arthur was born to the late Joseph and Rose (Kowalski) Kasprzak on May 20, 1923, in South Bend, IN. He married the late Phyllis (Westwood) Kasprzak in South Bend on October 20, 1951. She preceded him in death on January 7, 1997. Arthur then married Melba (Hohulin) Kasprzak on August 28, 1999, they enjoyed over 22 years together and she survives him. Arthur is also survived by his children, Daniel (Xan) Kasprzak, Dawn (Doug) Ballard and Ralph (Robin) Linner; step-children, Mark (Tammi) Hohulin, Jeanne (Wolfgang) Seybold, and Philip (Julie) Hohulin; grandchildren, Abigail Ballard, Zackary Ballard, Danielle Kasprzak, Brent (Morgan) Griffith, Nicole Linner, Heather Lockridge, Zachary (Jess) Hohulin, Nathan Hohulin, Bradley Hohulin, Suzanna (Tyler) Seybold Geise, Thomas (Callie) Seybold, Rachel (Martin) Schnabel, Benjamin (Caitlin) Seybold, and Naomi Seybold; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Jennifer Showalter. He was preceded in death by his grandsons, David Seybold and Ryan Lockridge. Arthur proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, a Good Conduct Ribbon, a Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal -Japan, one Overseas Bar, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, and a Korean Service Medal. He worked for Studebaker for 22 years, Coca-Cola for 5 years and the U.S. Post office retiring after 20 years there in 1990. Arthur was a member of Community Gospel Church - Bremen and the American Legion #161. Friends may visit with the family from 10am-12pm, on Friday, October 8, 2021, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with a funeral service to begin at 12pm. Arthur will be laid to rest in Southlawn Cemetery where military honors will be rendered.
