SOUTH BEND - Emir Biberovic, 60, of South Bend, passed away on Tuesday, November 11th, at 4:00 PM at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, after an extended illness. He was born on July 24, 1954, in Bosanski Broad, BIH, to Mustafa and Mina (Odobasic) Biberovic. On April 2, 1976, in Bosnia, he married the former Ivka Kljucevic, who survives. Emir has resided in the Michiana area since 1998, coming from Europe, and was employed as a welder at Faurecia Exhaust System. Emir is survived by his wife, Ivka; two sons, Sanel (Biljana) Biberovic and Mirel Biberovic, both of South Bend; two sisters, Emira Masic and Admira Biberovic, both of Europe; and one granddaughter, Mia Biberovic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mustafa and Mina, and one brothe, Ibrahim Odobasic. Emir enjoyed fishing, spending time at his lake house, and spending time with his family and loving granddaughter. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and numerous friends he made during his life journey. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and always placed his family first. Visitation hours will take place Friday, November 14th, from 4:00 PM 8:00 PM, at Hanley and Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at 23421 State Road 23/ West Ireland Road, South Bend. Burial will be private. The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , located at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
