Delores V. Koch, 90 years old, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Koch was born on September 24, 1929 in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph and Helen (Strauss) Iwanski. She has lived in South Bend since 1949. On October 18, 1947 in North Judson, Delores and Leonard W. Koch were united in marriage. Leonard preceded her in death on September 10, 2001. Mrs. Koch is survived by her five children, Fred (Deb) Koch, Debbie (Jim Woodbridge) Brogdon, Lelia (Butch) Murphy, Leslie (Richard) Catt, Eric Koch and Georgine Koch; 26 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Koch loved her family. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, reading books, musicals, old movies, going to church, big bands and loved Las Vegas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Jacob’s Cemetery, North Judson. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Delores V. Koch may be donated to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
