BUCHANAN - John Michael Liska Sr. was born on April 2, 1947, to Charles & Genevieve Liska. On Feb. 26, 1966, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Black. He attended Galien High School in Galien, MI. John served his country from 1966-1968, part of which was in South Korea. He had worked at Clark Equipment Co. from 1968-1976. He lived in Dayton, MI until 1981 when he moved his family to Tucson, AZ. John passed away on May 28, 2016, at Casa De La Luz Hospice following a long illness. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; son, John Jr. (Kelly); 2 grandsons, J.R. & Christopher; brother, Charles (Viciki) Liska of Dayton, MI; sisters, Leeana (Mike) Kuntz of Buchanan, MI, Cindy Burch of Wichita, KS, Wendy Brorsen of Tucson, AZ and Lori Liska (Mike Rhodes), also of Tucson; 7 nieces and nephews, and 9 great-nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles & Genevieve Liska, and his mother and father-in-law, Joseph & Hilda Black. Desert Rose Heather Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
