Helen Bikowski, 85, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Indiana. Helen was born on September 4, 1920, in South Bend to Joseph and Rose (Przybylski) Lodyga. On November 19, 1938, Helen married Frank P. Bikowski, who preceded her in death on October 8, 1975. Surviving is a daughter, Barbara Bikowski of South Bend; a son, John (Judy) Bikowski of South Bend; grandchildren, Joe (Sherri) Bikowski of South Bend, Greg (Dawn) Bikowski of Athens, Ohio, Sara Bikowski of South Bend, Terri Lemert of South Bend; great grandchildren Dylan, Kyla, Alex and Sam Bikowski. A daughter, Roseann Lemert; sisters, Regina Kelly, Verna Niemier, Mary Ann Chudzicki; and brothers, Victor, Stanley, and Louis Lodyga all preceded her in death. Family and friends may call from 2-8 PM Friday, February 17, 2006, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, where a parish rosary will be held at 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will held at 1 PM Saturday, February 18, 2006, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Helen was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society and of the Royal Neighbors.
