MISHAWAKA - Suzanne "Zann" Kowalski, 61, of Mishawaka, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 4, 2015, in Hospice House, South Bend, after a courageous battle with cancer. Suzanne was born October 7, 1953, in South Bend, a daughter of the late Chester S. Kowalski, Sr. and Mary Jane (Miller) Kowalski. She grew up in Mishawaka where she spent all of her life. Suzanne was a 1971 graduate of Mishawaka High School. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1984 from Indiana University South Bend and a Master's in Business Administration Degree in 1995 from Indiana Wesleyan University. Suzanne was employed as a Senior Project Manager for Electronic Commerce, Inc., in Elkhart. She had a great love of nature and enjoyed vegetable, herb and flower gardening. Suzanne married John Braun on January 27, 2015. John survives along with two sisters, K.C. Hiatt of Michigan and Bernice Simms of Elkhart; and a nephew, Jason (Angelo Jaoa) Streebel of Massachusetts. Besides her parents, Suzanne was also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Kowalski, and a sister, Cecille McCollum. There will be no public services. Following cremation, private entombment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorials are suggested to the Center for Hospice Care.
