MISHAWAKA - John Joseph Koblick, Jr., 78, of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, at St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by family. The Mishawaka native was born December 2, 1936, to John J. & Mary (DeBroka) Koblick, who both preceded John in death. He was a 1955 graduate of Mishawaka High School and enjoyed billiards & dancing, bowling & fishing, and will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. John was retired, having worked for Dodge Manufacturing and Bendix and truly enjoyed the time spent with family & friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Catherine 'Cathy' (Johnsen) Koblick, and his brother, Charlie Koblick. John is survived by his son, John J. Koblick III of South Bend; daughters, Sheryl (John) Eaton in Arizona, Vickie (Mike) Maguire of Mishawaka, Deborah (Kevin) Swain and Janet (Roger) Mathia, both of South Bend; sisters, Mary (Steve) Bodish of Goshen and Pauline (Jim) Van Lear of Bremen; 10 granchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services are 11:00 Friday, February 6, 2015, at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 51900 Mayflower Rd., South Bend, IN 46628, with calling in the church one hour prior to services. Calling also Thursday 4-8 pm in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is the church.
