Jack Delmore was born to John William and Doris Ray Otto Harroff. Doris would pass away soon after the birth of a baby son (Ray Theodore)when Jack was just two years old. His father later married a widow - Mrs. Etta Julia Cheverie Barber. They reared Jack - along with her daughter - Amelia Marie Barber.
On the 5th of October, 1935 -in Buchanan -Jack would marry Virginia Hess - a young lady he met in the seventh grade. They were the parents of two sons - Richard D. and Bernard L.
Jack was at least a 3rd generation farmer, belonged to the Wagner Grange, the Farm Bureau Assoc., a lifetime member of the Weesaw I.O.O.F. Lodge and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Buchanan. He also served on the Buchanan Twp. Zoning Board. Jack died in 1997 at the age of 90 - Virginia lived to the Grand Age of One Hundred Years and Six Months -passing November 16, 2008!
