Janet (Roncz) Sanders, age 65, passed away at her home in St. Petersburg, Florida, on December 6 from an illness. She had served as a dental hygienist for many years in South Bend and LaPorte before moving to Florida from her home in Union Mills. She loved taking the dog for a walk every morning, and walking along the beach. She participated in twenty-two marathons with her daughter Allyson. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working with pottery. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Roncz, her sister Diane Schlifke, and her nephew Jason Roncz. She is survived by her husband of 18 years Ralph Sanders, her sister Maribeth Roncz (Rick VanVasselaer), her brother John Roncz, her daughters Rachel Beittenmiller and Allyson Smith, and grandchildren Emma Smith, Cathryn and Seth Beittenmiller, Maggie and Molly Watson, Kayla, Andrew and Elizabeth Sanders, and step-children Sarah (Jeff) Watson and Dan (Katie) Sanders.Donations can be made to Pet Refuge in her honor.
