MISHAWAKA, IN - Cary W. Tavernier, 71, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away while listening to some of his favorite music at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Mishawaka. Cary was born on August 23, 1949 in Mishawaka to Paul Tavernier and Thelma Millage. Cary is survived by a daughter, Brittney Tavernier of Indianapolis, IN; his sons, Raymond Tavernier, Clint Tavernier, and Cory (Elizabeth) Tavernier all of Mishawaka; the love of his life, Marla Dreibelbis and her sons, Josh (Nicole) Dreibelbis and Max Dreibelbis all of Mishawaka, several grandchildren and a niece, Paula Uvalles of Mishawaka. Also surviving is his beloved dog Tobi. Cary was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Julia Lewis and his infant daughter, Connie Francine Tavernier. Cary was a Hall of Fame Bowler in the St. Joseph Valley U.S.B.C. His bowling family meant a lot to him and he loved to tell stories and jokes, sing karaoke and listen to music. Cremation will take place. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
