SOUTH BEND - Genevieve Jastrzebski, 83, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014, in Sanctuary at Holy Cross, South Bend. She was born on April 11, 1931, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late August and Florence (Britz) Noens. In October 1950, she married Edward Jastrzebski, who preceded her in death in October 2005. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Lynn Jastrzebski. Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Gena (Rick) Reeder of Granger; her son, Kirk (Paula) Jastrzebski of South Bend; four grandchildren, Justin and Alan Reeder, and Livia and Joshua Jastrzebski; and by two sisters, Clarissa Helvey and Martha Holston, both of South Bend. Genevieve was previously employed by NIPSCO. She was a wonderful mother and fun grandmother. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 pm Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
