"Mrs. Ella Barsodi (sic), 44 years old, wife of Balind Barsodi (sic), 709 South Kendall avenue, died Wednesday [morning]. She is survived by her husband, four (sic*) sons and three daughters. Funeral services wil be held at St. Steven's Hungarian Catholic church, Friday, Rev. Lawrence Horvath, officiating. Burial was in Cedar Grove cemetery." -South Bend Tribune, Thurs., Dec. 26, 1918, p. 5 *Their first two sons, Bela and Wilmos/William, were known as Bill and William, which may have been the source of the error in understanding about the total number of sons. Both sons were listed in the 1920 census record of the Balind Borsodi family household as were sons, Nicholas, Joseph, and Michael, and daughters, Mary, Rose, and Anna.
