Antoinette Rose "Toni" Jackmovich, 69, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 2 a.m. Friday, November 3, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born on September 3, 1937 in South Bend to the late Mary (Reris) and Joseph Amato. On May 4, 1956, in South Bend, as Antoinette Amato, she married Joseph Jackmovich Jr., who preceded her in death on April 30,1990. Mrs. Jackmovich was also preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent and Lawrence Amato. Mrs. Jackmovich is survived by two sons, Scott Jackmovich of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Cory (Kristina) Jackmovich of Granger, Indiana; a stepson, Joseph Jackmovich of Rapid City, South Dakota; three grandchildren, Joseph, Nicholas and Makayla Jackmovich; two sisters, Louise (Edward) Wasowski of Mishawaka, and Patricia (Roland) Mauer of South Bend; and by a brother, Michael Amato of South Bend. Mrs. Jackmovich was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, South Bend, where she was a teachers aide for the kindergarten class at the church's school. She loved roses, enjoyed reading, listening to music, especially Yanni, and traveling. Her many travels took her to Alaska and Hawaii but she also enjoyed the trips she took with her late husband, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Jackmovich took pride in her family. She cherished her family photographs and her photographs of her many travels. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and considered raising her children and taking care of her grandchildren as one of her greatest achievements. She was a loving and caring sister and friend, and will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
