SOUTH BEND - Irene E. Seeley, 87 years old, passed away at 2:26 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Grand Emerald Place, South Bend. Mrs. Seeley was born on September 10, 1929 in South Bend to the late Paul and Mary (Hanak) Boros. She has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend. On April 11, 1959 in South Bend, Irene and Robert N. Seeley were united in marriage. Robert preceded his wife in death on January 17, 2012. Mrs. Seeley is survived by her daughter, Renee (Doug) Tuveson of South Bend; son, Michael Seeley of South Bend; six grandchildren, Andrea Williams, Amy Tuveson, Doug Tuveson, Angela Tuveson, Courtney Seeley and Desiree Seeley; eleven great-grandchildren, Alexzandra, Jacob, Isaac, Alyssa, Michael, Mark, Christopher, Joseph, Natalie, Madylne, and Ian; one great-great-granddaughter, Scarlett; sister, Helen Witucki of Stevensville, MI; and brother, Robert Boros of South Bend. Mrs. Seeley was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Stull and Viola Pritchard; and two brothers, Andy and Paul Boros. Mrs. Seeley formerly worked at Ball-Band for many years. She loved her family and will be missed dearly. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services. A private interment will be held at Southlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Irene E. Seeley may be donated to Heart to Heart Hospice, 620 Edison Road, Suite 122, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
