SOUTH BEND - Ida B. Janick, 90, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, died at 7:10 a.m. Sunday in St. Paul's Healthcare. Mrs. Janick retired in 1963 from Uniroyal Plastics Co., Mishawaka, after 34 years of service. She was born Feb. 2, 1905, in Kewanna and had lived in South Bend most of her life. On July 10, 1926, in South Bend, as Ida B. Lower, she married Paul Janick. He died in 1970. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Dickerson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Lucille Brown of Mishawaka; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of Evangel Heights United Methodist Church and past president of Howard Park Senior Citizens. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Published in The South Bend Tribune (IN) - Monday, April 24, 1995
