MISHAWAKA - M. Ida Boudonck, 98, passed away on December 8, 2013 in Mishawaka, IN. Funeral service will be held at St. Bavo Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 11 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Visitation will be held at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, today, Tuesday, December 10 from 3 to 7 p.m. Ida was born in Mishawaka, IN to Victor and Theresa (Van Huffel) Buysse on March 21, 1915. She graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1933. She worked at various places of business, but her job as a custodian at St. Bavo School made her the happiest. She really enjoyed working with the children, at the school, and told many stories of her time there. She enjoyed many hobbies including: reading, crocheting, gardening (especially the beauty of roses), shopping for bargains, playing cards, attending various church activities at St. Bavo, volunteering for the church, and above all else, spending time with her family. On July 1, 1947 she married Emiel Boudonck. Ida is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Boudonck of South Bend and Chris (Richard) Foster of Spencerville, OH. Ida is also survived by her sisters, Geneva Beehler of Mishawaka, Patricia Hughes of Newport, MI and Johanna Taylor of Northeast Maryland; granddaughters, Miranda (Steve) Rex of Lima OH and Sydney (Norman) Koenig of Spencerville, OH; grandson, David (Erin) Foster of Columbus, OH; great-granddaughters, Madisyn Rex, Melanie Koenig, Karlyn Rex and Avaleen Foster and a great-grandson, Tyler Koenig. She is preceded in death by her husband, Emiel Boudonck; brothers: Emil Buysse, Leon De Meulenaere, Jack De Meulenaere, Ray De Meulenaere and August De Meulenaere; sisters, Marjorie Kobolt and Rosemary Stogsdill; and great-granddaughter, Roselynn Foster. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
