Lori was born July 26, 1953, to the late Lawrence E. Gradeless and Mary A. (Sousley) Gradeless of Mishawaka, IN. Hahn Funeral Home on 8th Street in Mishawaka will be handling the arrangements for visitation on August 21 from 6-8 pm, with recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, IN, on Wednesday, August 22nd, at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Terry Fisher officiating. Lori will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Lori married Ronald J. Schultz on July 28, 1973, and recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her children, Amanda (Schultz) Schmidt, and her spouse, Steve Schmidt of Mishawaka, Joseph Schultz of Savannah, GA, David Schultz of Mishawaka; her brothers and sisters, Dennis (Nancy) Gradeless of Mishawaka, Kenneth (Marion) Gradeless of Lakeville, IN, Ronald (Carol) Gradeless of South Bend, IN, Anna Gradeless of Detroit, MI, Jim (Kim) Gradeless of San Antonio, TX, Christine (Steve) Edwards of Osceola, IN, and Elizabeth (Michael) Jojo of South Bend, IN. Lori, a beloved spouse, sister, mother and dear friend, graduated from Mishawka High School in 1972 and finished two years of college at Bethel. She worked a time for the Dayton-Hudson Department Store and later spent the vast majority of 10 years working at Marian High School. She endured many hardships throughout her adult life, but in true spirit, Lori persevered. With joy, Lori, we know in our hearts it was hard for you to let go because you loved us. We know that your legacy resonates. Though you closed your eyes in death, you opened them with God and your loved ones passed. We rejoice that you are free, and your heart is filled with unconditional love. You finished your journey well in the hearts of your children, family, friends and those who you knew. Though you closed your eyes in death on this earth, you opened them again to see the face of God. Our Almighty Father promised us an uncorrupted body and I rejoice that you can run and see, touch and feel. No more pain, and love in your heart. You finished well and strong. God bless. Rest easy now, for we will see you in time. In lieu of floral arrangements, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Pet Refuge.
