MISHAWAKA - Dorothy V. Kurek, 86, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in Fountainview Place Nursing Home. Dorothy was born on January 9, 1921, to Jack and Hattie Kurek. Dorothy was employed by the former Studebaker Corporation for many years. She was a member of the Mary-Ann Club of Studebaker's and the Altar-Rosary Society at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Surviving is her niece, Patricia (Walter) Szostakowski of South Bend, Indiana. Dorothy was a sister to Margaret, Bernice, Irene, Gertrude, Richard, Ted, Sylvester and Benny Kurek. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with entombment to follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
