SOUTH BEND - Henry E. “Hank” Daviero, 94, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Healthwin in South Bend. Henry was born on May 25, 1923 in Republic, Pennsylvania to the late Amilio and Rosina (DeSantas) Daviero. He was also preceded in death by a son, Phillip. On September 28, 1946 in Clarksville, he married Matilda Patrovich, who survives him in death. Also, surviving are their children, Henry Jr. (Judy) Daviero of Orlando, Robert Daviero of South Bend and Rose Dvorak of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Julie (Keith) Edwards, Henry “Spanky” (Anessa) Daviero, Tony (Jamila) Daviero, Jeffrey Daviero, Lindsay (Zach) Davis, Brandi Hillar, Ashely (Sean) Jordan; 13 great grandchildren and his sister, Mary Swaney. Henry was an avid swimmer and jogger, he enjoyed reading the newspaper and keeping up to date with latest current world events. You could also find him enjoying an occasional glass of red wine with dinner. Henry was a Navy War Veteran and a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church for many years. He came to South Bend in 1950 and worked for Bendix Corp for 32 year before his retirement in 1982. Private graveside service will take place at Green Co. Memorial Cemetery on Monday September 18, 2017.
