Mishawaka-Geoffrey VanDurmen, 73, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in his home. Geoffrey was born on November 3, 1943 in Mishawaka to Julian and Lillian (Trowbridge) VanDurmen. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Michael. On April 20, 1996 he married Susan Lentz. Surviving are his wife, Susan; mother, Lillian VanDurmen; daughters, Lisa (Bud) Brown of Niles, MI, Dixie Schafer of Buchanan, MI, Karla Sepanak of South Bend and Sabrina VanDurmen of Michigan; sons, Carl Van Durmen of MI, Robert (Julie) VanDurmen of Fort Wayne, IN, Danny (Barbara) VanDurmen of Tulsa, OK, and David (Shelly) Duncan of Caledonia, MI; sisters, Susan VanDurmen of Granger and Karen VanDurmen of Mishawaka; a brother, Stephen VanDurmen of South Bend and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Geoffrey was an avid bowler, sports fanatic, he loved trivia, 50’s and 60’s music and records. He was a euchre player, an avid reader of every subject. Geoffrey was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 12 p.m. following the visitation. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
