Mary Ann Czajkowski, 50, of Hawthorne Drive, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Czajkowski worked as an orthodontist assistant and had also operated her own cleaning business. Mary Ann loved all animals, especially her birds and cats. She was born on Feb. 16, 1954, in Mishawaka, Ind.
On Sept. 18, 1982, she married Steven A. Czajkowski, who survives in South Bend, Ind. She is also survived by two daughters, Michelle (Michael Lamirand) Gannon of Arvada, Colo., and Laura Czajkowski at home; a son, Adam Czajkowski of Mishawaka; a granddaughter, Mia Lamirand; her parents, August and Anna (Kedik) Ewald of Mishawaka; a brother, Gary (Diane) Ewald of Round Rock, Texas; her in-laws, Donald and Anna Czajkowski of South Bend; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave., where a Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
