[N7690] Dorothy M. (Noe) Wisniewski
May 17, 1930 - Nov. 2, 2013
SOUTH BEND - Dorothy M. (Noe) Wisniewski, 83, passed away early Saturday morning, November 2, 2013 at the St. Joseph Medical Center. Her last few hours were watched over by many family members, and she passed away in the presence of those she loved. A Celebration of Life will be 12 P.M. Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Carolyn Kern officiating. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the America Cancer Society and the National Audubon Society. Those wishing to leave a memory of Dorothy online may do so at www.clarkch.com. Born in 1930 near Kimmell, Indiana to school master Claude R. and Luella E. (Thatcher) Noe, she grew up happily on a farm which is still used for summer family reunions. Those who visit know where Dorothy obtained her adventurous spirit and where her love of words originated. She is survived by three children, Debra (Bruce) Doughty of Mooresville, Indiana, Jeffry (Kathleen) Wisniewski of Cassopolis, Michigan and Stephen Wisniewski of Austin, Texas; and two stepsons, Lawrence Wisniewski of Cary, North Carolina and Mark Wisniewski of Marcellus, Michigan. She is loved by her many grandchildren: Stephanie, Elaine, Miriam, and Suzanna; Tiara, Amber, and Cassandra; Destiny (USMC), Elea, and Seth (USMC); Veronica, Kristina, and Steven. Grandma Great has a little host of great grandchildren as lovely as the stars of the heavens. Dorothy is survived by four sisters, Alice Deetz, Nelda (Ray T.) Noe, Margaret Leslie, and Sharon Chenoweth. She is preceded in death by six siblings: Norman Noe, Claudine Bolin, Violet Mahnesmith, Ray T. Noe, Robert Noe, and Roger Noe, and by a son, Baby Samacovis. She will now be with the love of her life, Stanley Wisniewski, who proceeded her in death 28 years ago, and who she never went a day without missing; and will never miss him a single day longer.
