SOUTH BEND - Justine L. DeMaegt, 96, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at the Meadow Woods Healthcare Facility. Justine was born January 28, 1918, in Chicago, to the late William and Mary (Anderson) Lakes. On June 24, 1950, Justine married Raymond DeMaegt, who preceded her in death on June 26, 1996. Justine was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jean Fuller and Mary May Lakes. Survivors of Justine included her nieces, Cari Fuller of Lawrence, MI, Kristine (Brett) Densmore of Battle Creek, MI, and Robyn Gardner of Lawton, MI; great-nephews, Matthew and Jason Gardner, Steven (Heidi) Jones; and two great-nieces, Autumn Wescott and Amanda Jones. Justine was the Co-owner of DeMaegt Escavating. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Justine very much enjoyed her dogs. Visitation for Justine will be 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Friday, October 24, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
