Mishawaka-Evelyn Vannoni, 88, died on October 30 in The Maples at Waterford Crossing in Goshen.
Evelyn was born on November 9, 1921 in South Bend to Ignatius and Frances (Kwiecinski) Ruszkowski. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Jane, Rose, Irene, Rita, Adeline and Barbara; and brothers Joe and Harry. On November 7, 1942 in St. Casmiers in South Bend, Evelyn married Alfred Vannoni who preceded her in death on April 4, 1997. Surviving are sons, Brian (Karen) Vannoni of Naperville, IL and Greg (Mary) Vannoni of Phoenix, AZ; grandsons, Michael and Gregory Vannoni and twin great granddaughters, Audrey and Elizabeth; one sister, Gertrude Boembeke of Mishawaka and two brothers, Richard and Donald Ruszkowski both of South Bend. Evelyn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a loving person who will be missed by all who knew her. As per Evelyn's wishes, there will be no services.
