SOUTH BEND - Frank F. Sojka, 86, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, in his home. Frank was born on December 7, 1928, in Page, Nebraska, to Felix and Antonia (Bogusz) Sojka, and had lived in South Bend since 1951. He retired in 1984 from Honeywell, where he was employed as an Electronics Technician for 33 years. On May 28, 1955, in Holy Cross Church, South Bend, Indiana, he married Jane C. Entzian, who preceded him in death on January 8, 2008. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bruno and Ted Sojka. Frank is survived by his two sons, James (Patricia) Sojka of Granger, Indiana, and Michael (Debbie) Sojka of Bainbridge, Indiana; four grandchildren, Samantha, Alex, Paul, and Shelby Sojka; and two step-grandchildren, Bryce and Allison Hill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Frank was a United States Army veteran. He was a Charter Member of St. John the Baptist Church and a former member of the former University Club at Notre Dame. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church or the Center for Hospice Care, Inc.
