Sherral Stamatovich, 76, of Mishawaka passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Silver Birch Assisted Living. She was born January 22, 1945 in Three Rivers, MI to Nick and Mayme Catherine (Atzenhoefer) Stamatovich. Sherral is survived by her sons, Chris Westlake and Steve (Tracie) Westlake; grandchildren, Eric and Susanna Westlake; and great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Gabriel, and Elliana. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Corathers; and brother, Richard Stamatovich. Growing up, Sherral spent her summers on the family dairy farm in Beallsville, OH. Sherral was an avid reader and enjoyed meeting publishers and managing book sales at the annual fall conference of the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture at the University of Notre Dame. She enjoyed reading to her grandchildren and gardening. She was brilliant, kind, and sweet and will be deeply missed by her family. There will be no services at this time. Private family inurnment will take place at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, IN at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Contributions in memory of Sherral may be given to a food bank of the donor’s choice.
