NORTH LIBERTY - Lucille Grohowski, 84, passed away Thursday. Survivors include sister, Rita Sipotz and brother, William (Esther) Zapalski. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Friday at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 55756 Tulip Rd., New Carlisle, IN 46552. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net

Lucille Grohowski

NORTH LIBERTY - Lucille Grohowski, 84, passed away at 12:15 am on Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Sanctuary at St. Pauls, South Bend. Lucille was born on August 12, 1927 in South Bend to the late Edward and Bernice (Szymczak) Zapalski. On May 7, 1949 she married Chester Grohowski; he preceded her in death on February 3, 2001. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers, John and Casmir Zapalski. She is survived by her sister, Rita Sipotz; her brother, William (Esther) Zapalski; and by several nieces and nephews. Lucille retired from Torrington after 25 years of service. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Visitation was 4-8 pm Friday in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 12, 2011 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 55756 Tulip Rd., New Carlisle, IN 46552. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
