Harry S. "Grange" Grzegorek, 86, of Tanglewood Court, passed away at 12:27 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Memorial Hospital. Harry was born on Oct. 26, 1915, in South Bend, Ind., to Stanislaw Grzegorek and Tedora "Dorothy" (Wiza) Grzegorek, who preceded him in death. He married Clare Drajus, who preceded him in death. Harry was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Jason Gregor and Jeffery Grzegorek; one great-granddaughter, Ashley Morgan Grzeskowiak; three brothers, Daniel, Richard and Norbert; and by four sisters, Gertie, Leona, Lorraine and Florence. He is survived by one daughter, Audrey (Ronald) Grzeskowiak of South Bend; three sons, Donald (Judith Elaine) Grzegorek of South Bend, Dennis (Kathy) Gregor of Chicago, Ill., and George (Sandy) Grzegorek of North Liberty, Ind.; seven grandchildren, David Grzeskowiak, Brett Grzegorek, Robert Gregor, Michael Gregor, Geraldine, Frederick and Michael Grzegorek; one great-great-granddaughter, Marissa Nichole Velez; and by two sisters, Louise Susan and Shirley Stabnik of South Bend. Harry worked at Studebaker for over 20 years. He retired from Notre Dame maintenance after 10 years. He was a member of the Conservation Club during World War II. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 27, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, in St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Church. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer and American Heart Association.
