Joseph George Gerencser passed away on January 9, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born July 31, 1954 to the late Paul and Helen (Batson) Gerencser in South Bend, Indiana. Joseph is survived by his former wife, Janeth Hollaway; daughters, Cheryl Gerencser (Kale Westerhoff) and Jodi (Ryan) Jones; granddaughters, Kalyn and Marcella Westerhoff; great-grandson, Greyson Freese with one on the way; and many extended family. Preceding Joseph in death was a brother, Paul Gerencser II. Joe was very kind and caring and would do anything for anyone. He loved raising and caring for his daughters and later his grandchildren. He also loved listening to music, taking walks and animals of all kinds. He particularly liked going out for coffee and meeting new people. He was very proud of his work at Bud’s Machine. He was loved by all and will be missed. Donations can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 620 W. Edison Rd. #122, Mishawaka, IN 46545. There are no services planned for Joe at this time.
