SOUTH BEND - John A. Badur, 72, passed away on Sunday. Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Badur; daughters, Pamela (Ronald) Dials and Lori (Robert) Gorny; son, John (Sandra) Badur; six grandchildren, Ronald Dials, Kayla Dials, Alex Haab, Meghan Haab, Michalina Badur and Frances Badur; a sister, Patricia Deranek; and brother, Jerome (Barbara) Badur. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

SOUTH BEND - John A Badur, 72, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 11:33 a.m. Sunday, October 2, 2011, in Rivercrest Hospital. John was born on June 5, 1939, in South Bend, to Aloysius and Henrietta (Kazmirski) Badur, and was a lifelong resident. He retired from A.M. General in 2001 after 36 years of employment. On August 6, 1960, in St. Stanislaus Church, he married Patricia A. Balough, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela (Ronald) Dials of South Bend, IN, and Lori (Robert) Gorny of South Bend, IN; one son, Jon (Sandra) Badur of Edwardsburg, MI; six grandchildren, Ronald Dials of Chicago, IL, Kayla Dials of South Bend, IN, Alex Haab of Indianapolis, IN, Meghan Haab of South Bend, IN, Michalina Badur of Edwardsburg, MI, and Frances Badur of Edwardsburg, MI; one sister, Patricia Deranek of South Bend, IN; one brother, Jerome (Barbara) Badur of South Bend, IN; one sister-in-law, Charlotte Walters of Noblesville, IN; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-8 in the funeral home. John was a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph's High School and more recently a member of the A.M. General Retirees Club. John's two greatest joys in life were attending his grandchildren's activities and his lifelong passion of fishing. In addition, he was a Notre Dame football fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
