John retired from Haberly Machine in 1990 after 15 years of tool-and-die making. An avid concertina musician, John was inducted into the World Concertina Congress Hall of Fame in 1985. He was an active member of American Legion Post 357, South Bend, IN, and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church, South Bend, and regularly served as an usher. In addition to his love of music, John enjoyed photography, dancing with his wife, traveling and visiting with friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony de Padua Church.
