SOUTH BEND - Edward F. Kurowski, 78, died at 3:53 p.m. Monday in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Edward was born on July 28, 1930, in South Bend, to the late Frank and Anna (Grzywienski) Kurowski. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Kurowski; grandson, Gregory Mankowski; and by his brother, Raymond Kurowski. Edward is survived by his 10 children, Carol (Terry) Rupert or South Bend, Margaret Goldsmith of South Bend, Mary Jo (Mark) Mankowski of South Bend, Barbara (Eric) Atkins of South Bend, Edward (Patricia) Kurowski Jr. of Fairfax, VA, Patrick (Fria) Kurowski of South Bend, Michael Kurowski of Louisville, KY, Dorie Gunderson of Granger, Mark (Sandra) Kurowski Munster, IN, and Jennifer (Blake) Hochstetler of South Bend; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Putz of South Bend. Edward enjoyed building model railroads, woodworking, fishing, hunting, and bowling. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where the funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
