SOUTH BEND - Barbara A. Harris, 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Barbara was born on May 23, 1939 in South Bend to Rene “Ray” and Helen (Bagarus) Bloom, Sr. She retired from Preston Trucking after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Teamsters and a parishioner at Our Lady of Hungary Church. On May 12, 1962 in South Bend, she married Edward E. Harris who survives along with a daughter, Brandy (James) Radomski, a son, Brett (Carla) Harris; 4 grandchildren, Winter Yocom, Bryce Flannery, Sophia Harris and Madelyn Harris, a brother, Rene (Sheryl Spurrier) Bloom, Jr.; 2 sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Alvis) Mann and Margaret Long; and 2 brothers-in-law, George Harris and James Harris. Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Family and friends may gather one half hour prior to services in the church. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church.
