Theresa Kulwicki Krzyzewski
November 29, 1927 - July 28, 2022
Theresa Krzyzewski, 94, our beautiful mother and busia, who taught us how lovely life can be with the simple beauty God gave us, joined her loving husband Ted in Heaven on July 28, 2022. Theresa was born November 29, 1927 in North Liberty, IN to the late Sylvester and Veronica (Brzezniak) Kulwicki. On May 8, 1948 Theresa married her loving husband, Ted Krzyzewski. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest, Eugene, and Robert Kulwicki; and a sister, Adeline “Dolly” Bauters. Left to cherish Theresa’s memory are her son, David J. (Peggy) Krzyzewski and daughter, Rosanne (Bob) Evans; grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Evans, Shelly (Tyler) Thacker, Katie Krzyzewski, and David M. (Danielle Miller) Krzyzewski; great-grandchildren, Kerrigan Evans, Kevin Miller, Hudson Evans, and Jameson Krzyzewski; and a sister, Betty Johnson. Theresa was a member of the Crumstown Conservation Club. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish and a member of their Rosary Sodality. She devotedly prayed the rosary every day. Theresa, a farm girl from Strawberry Road, always loved nature and being outdoors. She enjoyed tending to flowers and feeding the birds. Her favorite bird however, was her talkative companion of the last 7 years, her beloved Sun Conure named Baby Taddie. Theresa could often be seen cruising on her scooter down Inwood Road from the creek to Crumstown Highway visiting all her wonderful neighbors. She had a number of devoted caregiving friends that the family will be forever grateful for, including Mal and Jeanette. When she wasn't outside, Theresa was most likely on her iPad in a color by number painting app. She painted hundreds of pictures always noting the beautiful variation of colors. Theresa was dedicated to her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren fulfilled her life. Theresa's greatest joy was being a Busia. Visitation will be Monday, August 1, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 pm, and Tuesday, 9:00am-10:00am in St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 55756 Tulip Road, New Carlisle, IN 46554. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
