MISHAWAKA - Marcel Alfons Coryn, 87, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, July 16 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Marcel was born on October 17, 1925 in Mishawaka as the son of the now late Maurice and Bertha Coryn. On May 25, 1946 in South Bend he married the former Josephine Piasecki. She survives along with a son, Timothy (Janice) Coryn of Mishawaka; a daughter, Kathleen Coryn of Mishawaka; a grandson, Ryan (Michelle) Coryn; a sister, Helen (Don)Wood of Mishawaka and many nieces and nephews. Marcel was a Welder for Steel Fabrication in Mishawaka for 27 years before he retired in 1983. He was a past member of the BK Club in Mishawaka. He loved hunting and fishing, spending time with his grandson. Marcel was a wonderful loving family man; family was the most important thing in life. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
