SOUTH BEND - Darlene Ann (Rogacki) D'Luzansky, 75, of Scottsdale, AZ, died Thursday, October 9th, at the Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center. She was born in South Bend, IN, in 1938 to Martin and Blondine Rogacki (Sowala). After graduating from Saint Joseph's High School in 1956, she attended Indiana University Medical Center where she received her American Radiologic Technologist certification. In 1960, she married Dr. James D' Luzansky and moved to Altoona, PA. While there she was very active in the local women's medical auxiliary and YWCA while raising her two children, Martin and Cindy, and two pugs, Percy and Pandy. She was also a Girl Scout troop leader. Drawn to the beautiful weather and desert vistas, she and her family moved to Scottsdale, AZ, in 1982. Always outgoing and disarmingly outspoken, she enjoyed life and liked to try new things like Segway scooters, and on a recent cruise, rock wall climbing. Her interests included music (listening to and playing the accordion, organ and drums), tennis, bowling, gardening, painting, interior design, dressing up for Halloween, dancing (polka, waltz, rhumba, cha-cha, rock and some belly dancing), and all arts and crafts. Darlene is survived by her children, Martin and Cindy, her grandchildren, Addington and Alden, and her beloved kitty, Petunia. A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th.
