MISHAWAKA - Marjorie J. Plonski, 74, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, in her residence. Marjorie was born on August 19, 1933, in New York, NY, to the late Benjamin and Margaret (Phelan) Taghon. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lauretta Zellmann. On September 1, 1951, she married Eugene Plonski Sr. in Mishawaka, who survives along with their children, Mary-Frances (William) Cimo of Las Vegas, NV, Robert (Vickie) Plonski of Mishawaka, James (Joan) Plonski of Dyer, IN, and Eugene (Debbie) Plonski Jr. of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Jane (Edgar) Baert of Mishawaka, Marilyn Maurek of Elkhart, Nita (Ray) Bickel of Mishawaka and Annie (Sonny) Humphrey. Marjorie was a receptionist for Dr. Barkes and retired several years ago. She was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Road, South Bend. Wake prayers will be said at 7 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, in St. Bavo Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 540 Carroll St., South Bend, IN 46601. For those who are unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family may be made at _/www.sjfh.net /_.
