WALKERTON - Henry R. Paschen Sr., 87, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, IN.

Henry was born in to Henry and Margaret (Holzman) Paschen on September 15, 1929 in Chicago. He was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a member of the Walkerton American Legion Post #189 and attended the Koontz Lake Missionary Church. On July 14, 1975 in Framingham, MA, he was married to the former Shirley Gibson, who preceded him in death in 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond Paschen; and sister, Margaret Stull. Survivors include three sons, Henry (Valerie) Paschen Jr., Steve (Rhonda) Paschen and John (Lori) Paschen, all of Walkerton; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth Currier, Marie Flaugher and Janet Kramer. A graveside service will be Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) at the Grovertown Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be given to the Walkerton American Legion Post#189. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel is handling arrangements.
