MISHAWAKA - Adeline “Dolly” Bauters, 95, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in North Liberty, IN at the home of her daughter, Celeste, surrounded by her family. Dolly was born on May 30, 1922 in South Bend as the daughter of Sylvester and Veronica (Brzezniak) Kulwicki. On August 25, 1945 in South Bend, she married Clarence Bauters. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her son, Matthew Bauters on February 17, 2017; as well as her brothers, Ernest, Robert, and Eugene Kulwicki. Dolly is survived by her children, Nancy (Michael) Kochanowski of North Liberty, IN, Geraldine (Joseph) Steenbeke of Ft. Myers, FL, Celeste (John) Dooms of North Liberty, IN, and her daughter -in-law, Tina Bauters of Mishawaka; 9 grandchildren, Douglas Bingaman, Gregory (Melissa) Bingaman, Brian (Amy) Steenbeke, Michele (Chip) Kenaga, Amy (John) Taylor, Sarah (Asher) Brown, Michael Dooms, Tiffany (Matt) Austin, and Shawn (Jessica) Slaven; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Theresa Krzyzewski and Betty Johnson both of North Liberty, IN. The family of Dolly would like to thank the staff of Southern Care Hospice, especially her nurse, Teresa. Visitation for Dolly will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 3-8 PM in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Osceola.
