SOUTH BEND - Evelin Spychalski, 94, passed away at 7:30 pm, Friday, October 24, 2014 in the Milton Home. Evelin was born January 30, 1920 in South Bend to the late William and Jenny Kujawa. She married the late Theophil Spychalski in South Bend. Evelin was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Adams; and grandson, Eddie Sears. Survivors include son, James (Kathleen) Spychalski of South Bend; grandchildren, Robert J. (Michelle), Cheryl, Joseph (Vanessa), Stacy, Scott (Janet), Sarah (Rob), James (Nancy) and Laura; and great-grandchildren, Angelina, Victoria, Dominic, Ashlyn, Felicia, Becky, Levi, Grady, Tiara, Kloe, Laya, Sean and Shane. Evelin worked at Wyman's and Bergs Jewelers for 30 years. Evelin was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. She loved to bake and take care of the nuns at the parish. She also enjoyed watching game shows, sewing, crocheting, making necklaces and jewelry, and watching Notre Dame football. Visitation is 11 am to 1 pm, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church where a Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1 pm Wednesday in the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
