SOUTH BEND - Robert J. Duszynski, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016, in Memorial Hospital. Bob was born August 11, 1939, in South Bend, to the late Aloysius and Bernice (Mahowiak) Duszynski. Bob was also preceded in death by sister, Alice Lewinski, and brother, Eugene Duszynski. On October 26, 1963, Bob married his loving wife of 52 years, Carol (Sloma) Duszynski, she survives along with their children, Susan (Jeff) Tonn of Clarksville, IN, Brian Duszynski of South Bend, and Ronald (Katherine) Duszynski of South Bend; grandchildren, Samantha, Brittany, Nathan, and Margaret; and brother, Richard (Judy) Duszynski of Denver, CO. Bob honorably served his country in United States Air Force. He was employed with South Bend Woods Parts, and retired from the University of Notre Dame in 2001 where he was a data processor for 39 years. Bob also was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He enjoyed cooking and fishing with his friends. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with family and friends Visitation for Bob will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, March 18, 2016, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, March 19, 2016, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
