[N34173] Carol Ann Plodowski Knox
Apr. 30, 1941 - Jan. 6, 2023

Carol Ann Knox, age 81 of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Mishawaka, was called home to heaven on January 6, 2023. Carol was born April 30, 1941, in Mishawaka, Indiana to William and Opal Plodowski. Following their deaths early in Carol’s life, she was blessed to have been raised by Garfield and Marian Steedman. Carol was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and earned her master’s degree in Education from Bethel College. After her children left home, the Lord called Carol into the ministry, and she enrolled in Garrett Seminary in the early 1990’s. She served faithfully as an Ordained Minister in the Methodist Church in Milford, Indiana and retired in the early 2000’s from the Methodist Church in Richland, Indiana. She loved sharing the gospel with others and with youth ministry throughout her ministry. She also spread the good news of the gospel as she volunteered her time and sang in the church choir, traveling to perform at venues throughout the area. She is survived by her children Phillip Knox II and his fiancé Wendi Goetz of North Liberty, Indiana and Adrianna Boston and her husband Jeff of Evansville, Indiana. Surviving as well are her grandchildren Heather House and her husband Josh, Kevin Knox and Brogan Knox, along with her great grandchildren Michael, Koda and Elizabeth House and Kayson Knox. Her former husband and the father of her children, Phillip Knox Sr. preceded her in death in 2019. Visitation will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm Saturday, January 14, 2022, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola, with funeral services to begin immediately following visitation at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
In her spare time, Carol enjoyed camping with her friends, reading, and spending time relaxing on Diamond Lake. She also loved to watch the University of Kentucky play basketball with her son-in-law and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish play football. Most of all, Carol loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family.
In her memory, donations may be given to the Easter Seals online at easterseals.com.
